DAVID S. MILLER
David S. Miller is a highly skilled civil trial attorney with over twenty years of experience. He focuses on all aspects of labor and employment law as well as complex personal injury matters. David has mastered the complexities of sexual assault and molestation cases. His diverse background includes serving as the West Coast General Counsel for BAE Systems Aircraft Controls, Inc., a major U.S. Department of Defense contractor. David has significant first chair civil and criminal trial experience in both state and federal courts and has presented oral argument before several appellate court panels. In addition, he is adept at resolving complex matters through the arbitration and mediation processes. David has also served as the Senior Supervising Attorney overseeing the Civil Litigation Department for a national law firm. His clients have included large public entities, medical and retail establishments, construction firms, many small businesses, and a foreign consulate.
As a law student, David won American Jurisprudence Awards for both Torts and Criminal Law, in addition to the Outstanding Scholarship Achievement Award from West Publishing. He recently earned the Ventura County Star newspaper Readers’ Choice “Best” Award for recognition as one of the top five attorneys in East Ventura County.
David obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Northridge and his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He was an editor for The Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Journal.
In addition to the State Bar of California, David is admitted to the State Bar of Texas (currently inactive), the Hawaii State Bar Association (currently inactive), and the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts of California.
David is active with the American Inns of Court through the Ventura County Bar Association and has served as an advisor to the Simi Valley High School Mock Trial Team.
David holds a black belt in Taekwondo and currently studies the martial art Kenpo. He is particularly passionate about food and reading classic literature. He also enjoys caring for his two rescue dogs and playing in a recreational soccer league.
